Professional Bio

Hi! My name is Christine Cannon and I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) dedicated to helping my clients live their best lives. I have extensive training and experience in the field including work with trauma treatment, mood disorders, grief, substance abuse, relationship issues, and much more.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work. Between receiving my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, I spent time working as a caretaker for people with physical disabilities and mental illness. There I learned a great deal about the importance of mental health, and I found that applying my knowledge to helping others was a life path I wanted to follow. Working in disability services gave me the confidence to pursue my Master’s Degree, and then obtain my clinical LICSW license after thousands of hours of training. Now, I work in private practice with individuals of all walks of life, guiding them to success on their mental health journeys.

As you begin your therapy journey with me, you can expect our first few sessions to be about building the foundation for a trusting client-therapist relationship. I enjoy learning all I can about my clients, and developing a space where you feel safe to explore yourself. As we move forward and learn more about you, we’ll develop a plan to address your needs and achieve your goals. Throughout that process, I promise to be completely present and dedicated to helping you realize these goals and create positive change in your life. In this relationship, you’ll benefit from the full attention of a skilled professional dedicated to your care and well-being.

While you might be feeling down right now, therapy has taught me that change is always possible, and everyone has the capacity to improve. I can’t wait to see how we can work together to help you live your best life. Tomorrow is a new day!

Talk to you soon,

Christine Cannon, LICSW
