Professional Bio

Hi! My name is Malisa Komolthiti and I’m a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have experience working with clients of all ages experiencing a variety of mental health conditions. I have a Ph.D.in education, a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, and specialized training in EMDR and therapeutic interventions. I’m an easy-going psychotherapist who delivers compassionate and effective care to individuals, couples, and families. With a client-centered therapeutic approach in mind, I deeply respect and honor my clients’ needs, cultural and spiritual beliefs, and personal preferences while employing the most appropriate therapeutic methods to guide them towards their best possible selves.

I believe that therapy should be a collaborative journey where individuals and families feel empowered to create positive change in their lives. My therapeutic approach draws from evidence-based techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness practices, MRI (Mental Research Institute) approaches, Genogram analysis, Narrative therapy, collaborative approaches, psychoeducation, as well as art and play therapy. By integrating these approaches into therapy, I help clients develop inner strength, emotional resilience, and a sense of purpose.

If you’re looking for the right therapist to support you in your wellness journey, I am dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment where individuals and families can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment. Together, we will identify your goals, uncover underlying patterns, and develop practical strategies to foster growth, healing, and lasting change.

I’m looking forward to meeting you!
