Professional Bio
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California, and I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating grief, divorce, separation, mid-life transitions, and the emotional realities surrounding death and dying. My path into this work began through volunteer service with Hospice San Luis Obispo County during a time when people close to me were facing aging, illness, and loss. That experience stayed with me and eventually led me to pursue graduate training in clinical psychology with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy. Since then, I’ve continued helping people move through some of life’s most difficult and uncertain seasons with greater resilience, clarity, and meaning.
What I enjoy most about being a therapist is that the work feels natural, meaningful, and deeply fulfilling to me. I take the work sincerely, but not seriously, and I believe that matters in the therapy room. Therapy with me isn’t about being analyzed or judged. It’s about having an honest space where you can speak openly, feel understood, and work through what’s weighing on you at your own pace. Having experienced grief and major life transitions personally, I understand how isolating those moments can feel and how important it is to have authentic support while moving through them.
Therapy has taught me that while we all carry flaws and struggles, we also have a remarkable capacity to grow through adversity. I believe therapy is like medicine, not a diet. It’s not about becoming a different person or finding quick answers. It’s about giving yourself the support, perspective, and care needed to heal and move forward. One motto I live by is that no single moment is, in and of itself, unendurable. Much of my work centers around helping clients reconnect with their own ability to endure, heal, and rebuild through difficult experiences.
If we work together, I promise to be authentic with you. My goal is for you to leave sessions feeling more grounded, more understood, and less alone in whatever you’re facing. Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time in the great outdoors, which continues to shape the calm and reflective approach I bring into my work with clients.
