Professional Bio
Hi, my name is Kyra and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California. I came to this work the way many therapists do, by sitting in the client’s chair first. Therapy made me feel more alive, more like myself, and whole again, and I walked into this profession hoping to help others find their way back to that same sense of wholeness.
In our work together, I draw from Internal Family Systems, Trauma-Informed Care, and Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy. What that looks like in practice is a space where we gently explore the attachment wounds you carry, rewrite the inner narratives that no longer serve you, and turn pain into something meaningful. I’ve supported clients individually and in groups around depression, anxiety, substance use, and trauma, and I bring an eclectic, person-centered approach to everyone I meet.
I especially love working with people who understand their emotions logically but feel disconnected from them in the body, the ones who can name a feeling but cannot quite sense it or trust it. Together we work to locate that trust again and rebuild it, so you can feel your emotions fully rather than only thinking your way through them.
What I enjoy most is watching what becomes possible once the weight lifts. A client reconnects with an old hobby, deepens a relationship, or finds their way into community again. Therapy has taught me that there is always room for growth, change, and the occasional welcome surprise. I believe therapy is a channel to reconnect with your Self, understand your wounds, and create more awareness in your beautiful, everyday life.
When I’m not with clients, you’ll usually find me reading, taking long walks with a coffee or tea in hand, practicing yoga, or out on a hike with friends.
