Professional Bio
Hi, my name is Brigette and I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio. I know it can be difficult to open up about the parts of life that feel overwhelming, painful, or uncertain, so I focus on creating a space where you can be honest without feeling judged or misunderstood. My approach is warm, supportive, and collaborative, and I try to meet each person where they are rather than where they think they should be. I believe meaningful change happens when people feel safe enough to better understand themselves while also feeling encouraged and supported as they grow.
I especially enjoy working with individuals experiencing anxiety because I know how overwhelming it can feel to move through life constantly battling worry, self-doubt, or emotional exhaustion. One of the most rewarding parts of my work is helping clients develop tools that not only support them in the moment, but continue to serve them long after they leave the therapy room. I love watching people begin to feel more grounded, confident, and in control of their emotions rather than feeling consumed by anxiety. While practical coping skills are an important part of therapy, I also believe lasting growth comes from understanding yourself more deeply, recognizing your own resilience, and learning to approach yourself and your experiences with greater self-trust and compassion.
Over the years, being a therapist has taught me that every person carries a story that deserves empathy and understanding. I have seen how people can survive incredibly difficult experiences while still holding onto their ability to love, care for others, and keep moving forward. Those experiences continually remind me how resilient people truly are, even when they may not see that strength in themselves yet. My passion for this work comes from genuinely loving the process of connecting with people and walking alongside them as they begin to heal, grow, and create positive changes in their lives.
When working with new clients, I want therapy to feel open, honest, and collaborative from the very beginning. I encourage communication about what is and is not working so that our work together feels supportive and meaningful to you. I also believe growth is a lifelong process, and every client I meet teaches me something valuable along the way. I look forward to getting to know you and being part of your journey.
