Professional Bio
Hi there, I’m Patricia! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I came to this work by a path that shaped everything about how I practice. For over a decade before becoming a therapist, I worked as a professional school counselor, supporting students of every age through the ordinary and not-so-ordinary challenges of growing up. Sitting with people at so many different stages of life taught me something I carry into every session now: struggle looks different at every age, and everyone deserves to be met with patience and compassion, wherever they are.
My path here was also a personal one. As the spouse of a retired Army veteran who served for twenty-three years, I lived alongside the quiet weight that military families carry. I watched my own children navigate the hard seasons of repeated deployments, and it opened my eyes to how many people are shouldering struggles that no one around them can see. That experience is a big part of why I do this work. It gave me a lasting respect for the unseen things people carry, and a determination to help them feel less alone in it.
What I love most about being a therapist is the chance to make a real difference in someone’s life. Every person who sits with me brings a story I haven’t heard before, and in listening and walking alongside them, I’ve grown in my own understanding of people too. I especially enjoy working with those who are moving through a life transition, managing anxiety, working their way out of depression, or rebuilding their sense of self-worth. Watching a client grow in confidence, reach a goal, and celebrate how far they’ve come is one of the most rewarding parts of this work.
I believe therapy is a journey, one that asks for patience, courage, and your active participation, but with commitment it can lead to change that truly lasts. To every new client I meet, I promise a safe, respectful, and confidential space where you feel genuinely supported as you work toward growth and healing.
