Professional Bio
Hi there, my name is Abby and I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping my clients live their best lives.
Before earning my Masters in Social Work and becoming a therapist, I spent time working as a paralegal and running a hotline that offered free legal help for a housing nonprofit. There, I realized how much of a difference I could make by exploring in the lives of others just by taking the time to listen to them and talk through their problems. I was inspired to become a therapist because I loved to inspire change through human to human connection.
Since becoming a therapist I’ve worked with all kinds of people in a variety of different mental health settings. Most recently, I started doing online therapy for WellQor, and I feel honored to help so many people explore their personal stories and change themselves for the better.
When it comes to helping clients, I live by the motto “this too shall pass.” When struggling with mental health, it can feel like the darkness will last forever but I believe everything in life is temporary. You’ve survived all of your worst days and better days are ahead. As your therapist I can help you navigate difficult and uncharted territory in your life. I’ll provide you with a caring and warm presence who is on your side, and we’ll explore ways to alleviate your problems, build skills, and reach your goals.
When I’m not with clients I enjoy browsing bookstores and reading the new novels I find.I also love embroidery even though I am not very good at it. I’m looking forward to learning more about you!
