Professional Bio
Hi! My name is Brittany and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with a passion for helping my clients overcome and work through stressful, traumatic, and challenging situations. I have worked with clients experiencing a variety of mental health conditions. Most commonly, I help clients manage depression or anxiety, work through trauma, establish boundaries, form better relationships, and generally learn to manage life’s stressors in a healthier manner.
My approach is warm, accepting, and most importantly- interactive. I’m not here to deliver a lecture, I want to work alongside you to help you reach your goals. I conduct therapy in a way that takes your individual wishes and values into account, while recognizing and adapting to your unique goals and focuses for growth. In order to do so, I try to cultivate a therapeutic environment that makes you feel safe, heard, and understood so we can begin the therapeutic process of finding peace, healing, or new beginnings.
Therapy has taught me that many people have not been made to feel safe, heard, and understood. Growing up as a black female in inner-city Houston, I was inspired to become a therapist after watching my friends and family struggle with untreated mental health challenges. So, my goal as a therapist is to help others find the peace and healing that they deserve.
