Professional Bio

Hi! My name is Courtney Garvin and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with extensive and diverse experience in the mental health field. I work with clients of various diagnoses including trauma, mood disorders, eating disorders, and much more. I also counsel clients on more general topics like life direction, self esteem, and overwhelm. My clients span the age spectrum from adolescents to adults, families, and seniors.

From a young age, I’ve felt a calling to help others. I began volunteering in hospice care as a teenager, where I had the opportunity to better the lives of people who were going through unimaginable hardship. The satisfaction that I drew from helping others led me to find a career path where I could make a difference for a living. Now, I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and I’m proud to support my clients in their lightest and darkest moments.

As your therapist, I promise to be a support person in your journey even when things are hard. Our sessions will be a safe space for you to talk through and process what you’re going through – whatever that may be. I’m here to help you sort out your thoughts, identify your goals, and equip you with the tools to remove the roadblocks in your life. The therapy process may not be easy, but it’s an incredible way to help you build skills and navigate this chaotic thing we call life. We’ll focus on progress over perfection, and do our best to make you live the best you can.

I look forward to getting to know you!

Sincerely,
Courtney Garvin, LPC
