Professional Bio
Hi! My name is Chelsie Norton and I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to helping clients address issues surrounding mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, major life transitions, non-traditional lifestyles, and much more. My experience includes many years working in community mental health, where I’ve assisted a diverse set of clientele in overcoming challenging and unique issues. Alongside community mental health, I’ve worked in private practice providing individual therapy for adults. I’m trained in Somatic Therapy and Interpersonal Psycho-therapy, and I use these skills to help clients across the state of California live happier, healthier, and more balanced lives.
Whatever your situation might be, I’m here to listen with non-judgemental ears, and support you in making healthy decisions for yourself. Together, we’ll address the issues you’re facing, learn about you and your feelings, and find ways to develop healthy coping mechanisms. We’ll make goals together, and we’ll figure out the best way to attain those goals at a pace that feels safe for you. Change is hard but not impossible. And with therapy, you can make big strides towards becoming the best version of yourself.
I became a therapist because I genuinely enjoy meeting new people, learning about others’ lives, and bringing joy to my clients. I believe that the more joyful people are, the more pleasant this world can be. So if you’re interested in seeing a therapist with an open heart and open mind who’s eager to learn more about you, please come talk to me!
