Professional Bio
Hi, I’m Chelsea! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California with experience supporting a diverse clientele of all ages and backgrounds. Over the years, I’ve worked in a variety of settings, including the juvenile justice system, the foster system, in private practice, and in school-based programs. These experiences have strengthened my ability to connect with individuals facing complex challenges and to build meaningful, supportive relationships. I’m especially passionate about helping people work through anxiety, depression, and relationship concerns, and I strive to create a safe space where healing and growth can take place.
I was born and raised in Zimbabwe, Africa, where I lived until I was 19 before moving to the United States for college. Growing up in Zimbabwe taught me the importance of resilience, community, and adaptability. I saw firsthand how people can find strength and hope even in the most difficult circumstances, and that perspective continues to shape both my life and my approach to therapy. I strive to help clients recognize their own inner resilience, feel supported and valued, and discover that hope and healing are possible even during life’s hardest seasons.
I believe therapy is a collaborative process where we explore your experiences together, process emotions, and uncover clarity. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, seen, and understood, because when you feel truly accepted it becomes easier to open up, share what’s been weighing on you, and begin to move forward. In our work, you can expect support without judgment and guidance without pressure. We will move at your pace while focusing on meaningful growth, healing, and positive change. Over time, you may find yourself gaining new insight into your thoughts and emotions, developing healthier ways to manage stress, and feeling more connected both to yourself and to the people in your life.
My work has shown me how resilient people can be when they feel supported, and I am continually inspired by the strength that emerges in that process. As your therapist, I will walk alongside you, helping you untangle challenges, discover new perspectives, and take steps toward the life you want to create.
When I’m not with clients, I enjoy hanging out with family and friends, playing the drums or guitar, spending time with my two puppies, and binge-watching shows to unwind.
I look forward to hearing your story,
