Professional Bio
Hi! My name is Gina Skorich and I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with over a decade of experience working in mental health. In my time as a therapist, I’ve worked with clients from all walks of life experiencing various mental health challenges. I know that each client comes to me with a unique set of circumstances, so I try to tailor my sessions and clinical methods to best suit your needs and preferences.
My journey as a therapist began with personal experiences that opened my eyes to the importance of mental well being. I witnessed family and friends struggle with anxiety, trauma and addiction. It was difficult to watch my loved ones suffer, and it made me realize how vital mental health care is. This sparked a deep desire in me to help others navigate their own challenges, and to be a source of support during their most difficult times. I knew I wanted to pursue a career where I could make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Becoming a therapist felt like a natural path, as it allows me to channel my empathy and my desire to create positive change into my work.
Throughout your therapy journey, I’ll provide a safe and comfortable space for you to share your feelings, emotions, and experiences. I’ll work with you to help you gain insight into your patterns, learn to manage intense emotions, and ultimately find a path to greater emotional balance and resilience. I believe that therapy’s purpose is not only to treat mental illness but to also help people thrive. I view therapy as a holistic process, one that addresses not just the mind but also the body and spirit. I am drawn to an approach that embraces the full person. By combining traditional therapeutic techniques with a focus on overall well-being, I hope to assist you in finding balance, peace and empowerment in your life.
I’m looking forward to meeting you!
Sincerely,
Gina Skorich, LICSW
