Professional Bio
Hi, I’m Henry, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas with a real passion for helping people. Over years of practice I’ve worked with teens and adults through a wide range of challenges, and I’ve found my focus in a few areas close to my heart: trauma, grief, the particular struggles of the teenage years, and the experiences veterans carry with them. Each of these asks for patience and a genuine willingness to understand, and that’s exactly what I try to bring.
I especially enjoy working with people navigating anxiety. Part of that is because anxiety responds so well to practical, teachable skills, the kind of tools we can actually work through together in session and then put to use in your everyday life. There’s something powerful about walking out with a strategy you can use the next time the worry hits, and watching a client realize they have more control than they thought is one of my favorite parts of this work.
What I enjoy most, though, is the real connection I build with the people I see. It’s a privilege to witness someone’s insights and discoveries, especially the moments that spark genuine change. Every breakthrough, however small, is a reminder of the strength people already carry inside them. I believe therapy is a bridge between where a person is struggling and the change they’re reaching for. We all suffer at times, but that very suffering can become the thing that drives our growth. As your therapist, I promise you my full attention and every skill I’ve gathered to help bring light to what you’re working through.
When I’m not with clients, you’ll find me cycling, kayaking, reading, meditating, or spending time with my family. I once cycled solo all the way from Texas to Canada, and honestly the graciousness of the people I met along the way is a big part of what inspires me to help others. I’ve seen how much a little kindness can carry a person, and I try to bring that same spirit into every session.
I look forward to learning about you,
