Professional Bio
In 2014, I received my doctorate in clinical psychology, and since then, I’ve worked in individual, inpatient, outpatient and residential therapy settings. Now, I work with WellQor helping clients work through grief, trauma, anxiety, addiction, depression, anger, and all sorts of challenges. I help clients gain personal insight and understanding of their wounds so they can move through life and future challenges.
I was inspired to become a therapist by a lot of the mental health stigma I saw around me. I wanted to break down “stigmas” of mental health and open the endless possibilities of how rewarding therapy can be: to help clients heal, balance obstacles, and find joy and purpose in anything they do! To witness a client take care of their mental health, develop a sense of well-being, work through their barriers and heal emotional wounds, is the most rewarding factor of all time.
I believe that therapy brings out the true and authentic self out of a person.Therapy pushes you out of your comfort zone, it challenges you, awakens you and helps you find purpose and understanding of your values. It’s about understanding yourself at a deeper level, finding the best in yourself and bringing it to light.
To this day I learn about myself through therapy. Therapy taught me about some of my other passions like my love for animals, and it’s made me into an advocate for animal rights. It’s also taught me about what centers me, brings me joy, and keeps me grounded like cooking wholesome meals, enjoying a good movie, or taking care of my plants.
As your therapist I promise to be authentic, consistent, and genuine. Humor is a big part of who I am, so I might even make you laugh along the way! Get in touch with me and I can help you be the best version of yourself.
