Hi! My name is Johaira Akwei and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to helping clients navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, and everyday life challenges. I’m trained in clinically proven methods of therapy, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Focused CBT. I have experience working with diverse clients, including geriatrics, adults, adolescents, and families. Additionally, I have worked extensively with survivors of domestic violence and families involved with the Division of Child Protection and Permanency.

I enjoy meeting individuals from all walks of life and having the opportunity to be a part of their journey to mental wellness.
