Professional Bio
Hi! My name is Leslie Glass and I’m an LMFT licensed in the state of California.
I’ve worked in the mental health field for over 25 years. My career includes experience conducting individual therapy with clients of all ages. In addition to this experience I’ve also worked as the lead adolescent therapist in a psychiatric hospital, and as an instructor for graduate and undergraduate courses in counseling and psychology at National and DeVry Universities.
I was inspired to become a therapist by the people around me. From an early age I found a lot of joy in listening to others and gaining insight into their ways of living and thinking. I developed a habit of listening not only to what’s said, but what’s unspoken. I enjoy my clients and the rapport that we build in sessions. I truly believe in unconditional positive regard and the uniqueness of individuals. I love learning about the cultural aspects of someone’s life, and how culture frames their belief system. I truly learn something from every client. As a therapist, my interest in others has served me well and continues to help me build relationships with clients.
Many people seek therapy at a point in their life when they are experiencing a lot of change, or in need of change. Change takes a lot of courage to handle, and having a support system and someone there to cheer you on is an important part of building courage and resilience.
I most enjoy working with people who are experiencing change because…it is the hardest thing to do. Having a support system and someone cheering you on is important. The courage I see in my clients inspires me to live my life to the fullest, and I’m humbled by their incredible accomplishments in the face of adversity and uncertainty.
I’d love to get to know you, so come talk to me! When I’m not with clients, I enjoy photography, travel, bird watching, and sewing.
