Professional Bio
Hi I’m Laura, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Arizona. I specialize in working with people who are new to therapy, or returning to it looking for something deeper, more intuitive, or body-based. I’m especially passionate about supporting people through grief, life transitions, and emotional limbo because I know how raw and isolating those times can feel. That’s where I believe the most honest and transformative work can happen.
My approach is warm, grounded, and practical. I blend real talk with tools that actually help, and make space for your full experience whether that includes emotion, intuition, or spirituality. I aim to create a no-pressure, judgment-free space where you can show up exactly as you are, explore what you need, and move at your own pace. I promise to show up as a real human, not just a therapist. I’ll hold space for whatever you’re carrying, move at your pace, and never push you to be anywhere other than where you are. You don’t have to have it all figured out to be here. We’ll make room for the mess, the questions, and the quiet shifts together.
I became a therapist after the deaths of my father and then my boyfriend within a short period of time. Those losses completely upended my world, and in trying to find support, I often felt like the care available just didn’t meet me where I was. It felt disconnected, overly clinical, or surface-level at a time when I needed something much more human. That experience lit a fire in me to do better. I wanted to create the kind of therapeutic space I had needed: one that’s real, grounded, compassionate, and capable of holding
the full weight of grief and transformation.
Therapy has taught me that people are both incredibly tender and incredibly strong. Everyone has a story that makes sense of where they are and more often than not, underneath all the pain and coping is a deep longing to be seen, accepted, and understood. Being in this work reminds me every day that we’re all just doing our best to navigate being human and that healing doesn’t come from fixing people, but from sitting with them in their truth. I believe in healing alongside them, holding space for the messy and meaningful parts of life, and helping them come home to themselves.
When I am not with clients, I enjoy reading, yoga, pilates, hanging out with my dogs, and doing absolutely nothing. I also host two podcasts, which is a fun way to dive into
conversations that inspire me and connect with others.
I look forward to learning about your story.
