Professional Bio

Hi! My name is Mary Denning and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated to helping my clients live happier, healthier lives. I have a wide variety of experience in the mental health field spanning many age groups, cultures, and diagnoses. I began my career working with geriatric clients, and later gained experience working with adolescents and families in every level of the public education system. Simultaneously, I worked in palliative and hospice settings. All of these experiences have come together to inform my private practice today, and equip me with the skills to meet the needs of my clients.

As your therapist, my goal is to help you achieve yours. As we embark on your therapy journey, I’ll act as a sounding board for you to freely express your thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Meanwhile, I’ll be doing my best to fully understand you, and in turn help you understand yourself. We’ll work together to set achievable goals, and I’ll help equip you with the tools to reach them as we move through the therapeutic process. I truly enjoy working with each one of my clients to help them understand themselves on a new level and bring transformational change to their lives.

I have had the experience myself to know what it is like to be heard, supported and guided and how that changed my outlook on things. Therapy can be beneficial to anyone, and I would really encourage you to give it a try. Life is too short to be at war with yourself!
