Professional Bio
Hi! My name is Nichole Walton and Iām a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a background in working with all kinds of people around the world and in the state of Florida. As a therapist, I specialize in helping others overcome mental health conditions like trauma, depression, anxiety, and addiction. I have extensive training in the area of trauma, using a person centered approach with a trauma informed lens to help clients process and overcome trauma to live their best lives. Whatever you may be going through, you can expect me to place a heavy emphasis on self-compassion. I believe that knowing yourself, loving yourself, and learning to live as your ābest selfā is a crucial part of the healing process.
I consider my sensitivity to be one of my strongest qualities. As a child and young adult, I was always sensitive to the life struggles that others endured. I was deeply moved by community and humanitarian efforts to help alleviate othersā pain, and I spent a lot of time searching for my place in those efforts. Becoming and working as a therapist is my way to be a part of positive change, and itās been a great privilege to contribute to the improved health and wellness of my clients.
If youāre seeking therapy, I know youāre looking to change something. You might not know what or how to change, but thatās ok! I believe in you and your innate strength. Iām here to walk alongside you on this journey, and use my clinical skills and experience to help you find the path forward. Even the smallest desire for change can be built into motivation for lasting transformation.
So, if youāre looking to make a change, build stronger relationships, and feel secure in yourself and your place in the world, Iād be honored to help you. Iām looking forward to meeting you and helping you live your best life.
Sincerely,
Norma (Nichole) Walton, LCSW
