We identified specific issues to be addressed. He provided tools for investigation. With his close supervision and support I began the hard work of self analysis. In each session he provided a lesson in the theory underlying the tool, method and direction of counseling. Eventually I was able to recognize how and when to use my expanded "toolkit" in my daily interactions. With practice, I succeeded in achieving my goal to represent my true self at all times.
