Professional Bio
My name is Sarah and I’ve been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for nearly a decade. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, and later earned my Masters of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I’m particularly experienced in helping clients overcome anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief, and substance abuse disorders.
For as long as I can remember, I have felt a calling to be a source of comfort and strength for those who are struggling, hurting or marginalized. I find reward in listening to others, reflecting on their words, and offering supportive guidance as they navigate life’s challenges. If I can make a positive impact on someone’s life, it’s a mutually beneficial experience.
I believe that therapy is something everyone can benefit from. You do not need to be in crisis and you do not have to be at the lowest point in your life…making the decision to connect with a therapist means you’ve made the decision to work towards being the healthiest version of yourself. As your therapist, I promise to be a steadfast support for you on your good days, and your bad days too. I promise to always provide a non-judgmental environment where you can safely share your thoughts and feelings as I help you process and brainstorm resolutions to whatever you are facing.
When I’m not with clients, I enjoy spending family time with my husband and two daughters. I love to spend my free time at our vacation place in Door County, WI – there’s nothing like a Door County sunset on the water! I am also an animal lover and enjoy spending time with my German Shepherd and Maine Coon kitty. Some other things I enjoy are doing crafts, watching movies, wine tasting, listening to music and online shopping.
My career has taught me that just when you think there is a lot of bad and ugly in this world, humanity shines through and reveals that there is far more good and beauty in this world. I strive to help my clients see the beauty in the world, so please come talk to me!
