Professional Bio

Hi, I’m Stacey Spata. Most people come to therapy in a hard season, and one of the first things I like to say out loud is that struggle and possibility often show up together. In twenty-two years of practice I’ve watched people find their way into ways of living they didn’t believe were available to them, and it usually starts right there in the middle of the difficulty.

I work holistically, which for me means we don’t look at your mental health in isolation. What’s happening in your body and in your spiritual life is part of the picture too, and drawing those connections is often how a complicated problem finally starts to loosen. Over my career I’ve worked with a wide range of clients facing all kinds of mental health and life challenges, and what stays constant is how I want you to be treated in the room: with dignity, with respect, and without any sense that you need to perform being okay.

What I love most about this work is listening. I find it genuinely fascinating to learn how someone sees the world, what they think and feel and want, what they’ve dreamed about and maybe set aside. Therapy has taught me that we are all living the human experience in wildly different ways, and there’s real beauty in that uniqueness once you stop measuring yourself against how you think it’s supposed to look. Getting to witness someone grow into the fullest version of themselves is an honor, and it never gets old.

What I promise you is presence. A space that’s safe and warm and unhurried, where you can explore and stretch without worrying how it lands. I believe deeply in being kind to ourselves and to each other, and that’s the energy I bring into every session.

I look forward to meeting you!
