Professional Bio
Hi there, I’m Alexandra, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Arizona. With over a decade of experience in the field of mental health, I have had the privilege of working in a wide range of settings including the justice system, outpatient clinics, in-home, and private practice. I am EMDR Certified and have extensive experience supporting couples and families. This background has deeply informed my ability to help individuals navigate the complexities of relationship dynamics, emotional healing, and personal growth.
I am especially passionate about helping people who are experiencing challenges in their relationships. I find that these struggles often reveal core themes that can lead to powerful transformation, greater self-awareness, healthier communication, and more empowered living. When we work together, my intention is to walk beside you with compassion and honesty. I will both support and challenge you in meaningful ways as you move toward healing in all areas of your life: emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually. My hope is to help you live in alignment with your most authentic self.
What I love most about being a therapist is the opportunity to build authentic, meaningful relationships with people who are curious about themselves and committed to evolving. In a world that can often feel rushed or superficial, it is a true gift to hold space for someone to show up fully and honestly. Therapy has taught me that no matter our backgrounds or stories, we all share the same essential desires: to love and be loved, to find purpose and well-being, and to feel safe and whole. I believe therapy is an opportunity to better understand yourself, face the hardest parts of your life with compassion, and integrate those insights into a fuller, more authentic way of being.
Sincerely,
Alexandra McAuslan, LMFT
